The most important reason why we exist on earth is water ....still we really don't respect it...and take it for granted.
The summers approaching real quickly and water shortage will soon become a part of our daily living, we really need to understand the fact about water and its characteristics...the free flowing nature, the ability to manoeuvre and make its own course and so on and so forth....enough indications to make it a potential killer!!
Will water one day become an essential commodity to be traded on different foreign exchanges like metals and pulses??
I came across this concept by Shekar Kapur for his next film PAANI, which he has been contemplating for long now, a situation in a town from future where there is a single, only a single source of water.
Hold your breath coz now i reveal the name of the town.....
The town is MUMBAI....and god forbid if a town of this magnitude is hit by a crisis like this, it will blow away itself into shreds.....coz of omnipresent water?!!!
Supposedly available for everyone...70% of Earth’s surface is covered by water....and the glaciers melting and all the statistics indicating that the world would drown under water...and then we have water shortages and other water related deadly diseases and all...damn this Hippocratic statistics...!!!
Basically, either ways we are screwed.....
CONSIDER THIS:
Scene :
" As the little girl running towards camera gets shot from behind, she screams her last words " Water is our right - it is not for sale" As she falls, through the dust you barely make out the uniform of the man that shot her. He wears a blue helmet that states "UN Water Force"
Powerful is all I can say......!!!

Just a world summit on climate change is the essence of world politics, water will soon take its place of prominence in world talks. The Indo - Pak talks scheduled for this month is an example!!
We talk about providing clean air to our future generations, how will they survive without water???
Indeed!!.....as declared by reliance v r looking at sweatier summer ahead with a huge below par capacity, scanty rainfull las yr, incapability 2 reservoir the water which it was at its fullest.....like most probs in our country,well!!...Is lacking infrastructure in dis respect seems 2 d root cause of dis snow-balling issue????
Good work :)
Totally agree with u..
Quite thoughtfull!!
and u were right -i did like the ending......i dont know what we should be worried about - Terrorrism which has become a way of life,Aman ki Asha-am hoping it works out, Our current political scenario and now the water shortage which you have very rightly pointed out!! looks like tiring times ahead......:)
Kudos!!!it indeed is a thought provoking article especially in the times where people are on a Social Responsibilty spree but the basic necessities of life are plainly ignored...
Hope this afterthought stimulates somekind of contemplation towards tough situations which are lined up for us in the near future...
ccool keep going
if this is original. knh 2u! chill bumps
Kudos ... a very intense thoughtful topic ... a matter into which everyone must sesly do smething ... and do every bit one can do to save the planet .. lets just not tlk bt water .. every resource be it natural or man made ..needs to be used and taken care of ... we r making superpower cars which gulp litres of gasoline in seconds ... wats th point in havin car with a top speed of 400km wen there wud b no crude left in th near future ...
Thanks a lot people for the encouraging words you have poured in and yeah the content is a little screwed up for it was written out of anguish than an expected state of literary calmness...the whole issue needs to be heard on a bigger platform and this view could just be a start....A "could have been better" tag by Divya/vaish/tessy is totally appreciated and yeah will try to do better write ups, next time...
chao....
